WaterFurnace has developed and implemented a unique initiative called Symphony. It serves as a platform for Internet of Things, Smart Home Systems as well as a connected platform for our heat pump products. We are calling for the brightest minds who share our commitment to work for a more sustainable future—so that we together can push the boundaries of how to utilize local energy sources in the most efficient ways possible to create a comfortable indoor climate.

You will be a part of a small team responsible for developing multiple web based frontend systems and apps with human UI interfaces as well as IoT functionalities. Our development team consists of people with expertise in many areas ranging from hardware development to cloud services.

Summary of Position

Your role will have responsibility for the front end and app development supporting Symphony and other WaterFurnace software application products.

Nature and Scope:

  • Developing front end code for customer use in accessing our web applications.
  • Developing smart device App's for customer use in accessing our products.
  • Developing software specifications for use as documentation and for use with outside software suppliers as needed.
  • Working cooperatively with WaterFurnace IT and marketing on software development and implementation.
  • Designing and developing other software for engineering use as needed.

Education Required:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Primary Skills Required:

  • 2+ years web development experience.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience with UX design and products such as Adobe InDesign.
  • Mastery of web development.
  • Proficiency with C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, PHP and Python.
  • Proficiency with revision control including: git, subversion, or equivalent.
  • Preferred technical requirements: Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, git, Jira, HTTP, REST.
  • Developed apps and published them to Google play or the Apple Appstore.
  • Good writing and communication skills.

Secondary skills that are plus:

  • 2+ years of C# software development experience.
  • In depth knowledge with different SQL databases.
  • API development and Message queuing services such as RabbitMQ.

Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer contributes full time design support to the team efforts for both project and development engineering of our new and existing products, including developing and analyzing lab tests, facilitating vendor interface, arranging field trials, and providing creative solutions to support the engineering product team goals.

Drawing on a solid working knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC installation and service as well as typical plumbing and electrical practices, your accountabilities will include:

  • Developing potential HVAC designs using lab and/or computer modeling data, with responsibility for any specific projects assigned.
  • Supporting engineering lab testing and test unit development.
  • Acquiring and analyzing field data, as needed.
  • Designing and developing test apparatus and procedures, as needed.
  • Complying with all WaterFurnace International and OSHA policies, procedures, specifications, and standards.


  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Three or more years of design experience in the development and manufacture of Air Source heat pumps.

WaterFurnace International, Inc., the most respected name in geothermal heat pumps, seeks career-minded talent to assemble state-of-the-art Residential and Commercial units at our manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN.

Our geothermal units feature unique functionalities that include home energy management, advanced zoning systems, and variable capacity technology. These features work together to optimize equipment performance.


Our Assemblers combine their skills and efforts in a team environment.

Your accountabilities will include the following:

  • Use powered hand tools, brazing torch, lift tables, hand-held scanner, and forklift.
  • Install couplers, vacuum lines, copper tubing, wiring, and sheet metal panels.
  • Cross-train on different assembly stations.
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM until 2:00 AM.
  • Starting rate: $12/hour plus additional $2/hour 2nd Shift Premium. Merit review at 60 days.

We're seeking qualified Region Sales Manager candidates to fill two immediate openings in the West and Central/Northeast regions.

This FLSA Exempt salaried position requires more than 50 percent travel.


Outbound Sales Calls & Telemarketing (80%):

  • Manage Residential Sales in the assigned Region: Develop Sales Plans and evaluate results.
  • Work with Internal WaterFurnace departments: Communicate and work with Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, and other related functional partners.
  • Work with existing Dealers: Evaluate Dealer performance with Territory Managers and take action as needed to improve Dealers' performance.
  • Evaluate Territory Managers' performance: Coach to close performance gaps, relying on regular communication and ride-alongs.
  • Provide support to Territory Managers: Assist TMs with solving challenging problems, and pass solutions along to other TMs to proactively address future issues.
  • Manage administrative activity: Evaluate TMs' monthly reports, including approval of expense reports, special pricing, procurements, and invoices.


Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). College coursework or degree in related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Three or more (3+) years of related B2B sales management experience required.

Minimum Qualifications

The Vice President of Human Resources is a key role on our Executive Leadership team reporting directly to the CEO.   • Mentor cross-functional Employee Initiatives Team and Safety Team for planning and implementation of employee engagement activities, while ensuring an enriching and safe working environment.
  • Provide expertise and assistance to employees and managers through one on one coaching. Responsible for review and approval of all final warning and termination actions.


  • Bachelors' degree in human resources, organizational development, or related field.
