SANTA BARBARA, CA—A major restoration and rehabilitation of the Santa Barbara Historic County Courthouse is underway with help from WaterFurnace, the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based manufacturer of geothermal heating and cooling systems for institutional, commercial and residential projects.

WaterFurnace geothermal systems burn no fossil fuels, instead using the free, clean and renewable energy found just below the earth’s surface.

Built in 1926, the historic courthouse will benefit in several ways from WaterFurnace’s state-of-the-art technology, according to Robert Ooley, the AIA County Architect for Santa Barbara County who is overseeing the project.
