Location: Fort Wayne, IN

WaterFurnace International, Inc., the most respected name in geothermal heat pumps, seeks career-minded talent to assemble state-of-the-art Residential and Commercial units at our manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN.

Our geothermal units feature unique functionalities that include home energy management, advanced zoning systems, and variable capacity technology. These features work together to optimize equipment performance.

Description

Our Assemblers combine their skills and efforts in a team environment.

Your accountabilities will include the following:

  • Use powered hand tools, brazing torch, lift tables, hand-held scanner, and forklift.
  • Install couplers, vacuum lines, copper tubing, wiring, and sheet metal panels.
  • Cross-train on different assembly stations.
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM until 2:00 AM.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School degree or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of related experience.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
Preferred:
  • Related vocational coursework.
  • Welding experience.

Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer contributes full time design support to the team efforts for both project and development engineering of our new and existing products, including developing and analyzing lab tests, facilitating vendor interface, arranging field trials, and providing creative solutions to support the engineering product team goals.

Drawing on a solid working knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC installation and service as well as typical plumbing and electrical practices, your accountabilities will include:

  • Developing potential HVAC designs using lab and/or computer modeling data, with responsibility for any specific projects assigned.
  • Supporting engineering lab testing and test unit development.
  • Acquiring and analyzing field data, as needed.
  • Designing and developing test apparatus and procedures, as needed.
  • Complying with all WaterFurnace International and OSHA policies, procedures, specifications, and standards.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Three or more years of design experience in the development and manufacture of Air Source heat pumps.
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC installation and service as well as typical plumbing and electrical practices.
  • Electrical wiring and schematic reading, and general troubleshooting.
  • Software skills: mid-level Visio, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Refrigeration theory and broad geothermal product knowledge.
  • General HVAC installation and service skills.
  • General knowledge of plumbing and electrical practices.
  • Project management skills.
Preferred:
  • Broad geothermal product knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic is a plus

Product Manager

Product Manager

Description

WaterFurnace is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to fill the role of Applied Product Marketing Manager for our applied/commercial channel. The qualified candidate will be highly self-disciplined in task and time management, analytical minded, and able to operate independently. They should possess leadership qualities that enable them to make recommendations and drive the execution of tasks, programs or strategies quickly. This leader will also be a working, hands-on manager who is able to engage stakeholders both within and outside of the WaterFurnace organization, establishing themselves as the go-to expert for applied products. They will be able to adapt to existing development processes or define development processes where they are lacking, in order to create and maintain a best practice for ongoing program management. A candidate with prior HVAC knowledge is preferred but not required. Incumbent must be comfortable and have prior experience with product/solution requirements capture, prioritization and management, through ongoing Voice of Customer engagement and related activities. Expected amount of travel is 25-30%, but will vary seasonally.

Reporting to the Director of Product Portfolio Development and Field Reliability, the responsibilities of the Product Manager include the following:

  • Lead, develop and recommend marketing objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts.
  • Develop strategic plan for product line and assist with developing overall business strategic plan.
  • Evaluate competitors’ products and solutions; perform competitive analysis at regular intervals.
  • Lead Voice of the Customer efforts to ensure we identify customer needs on a continual basis. Prioritize and integrate findings into solutions, as part of the product requirements management discipline.
  • Recommend modifications of assigned product or products.
  • Maintain contact with the sales force to monitor trends and keep informed of sales force needs.
  • Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products.
  • Develop and recommend new product concepts.
  • Coordinate departmental activities with other departments, such as engineering and manufacturing, to ensure synergism of objectives.
  • Develop multi generation product plan for review with senior staff.
  • Determine the priority of each product opportunity.
  • Project management of all product integration/launches/changes through implementation.
  • Identify business & operational requirements based upon business requirements & objectives of each product.
  • Guide the product gate process and coordinate product launch management.
  • Develop competitive price matrix and set list price for all applied products.
  • Provide product support for commercial customers.
  • Develop product presentation for products and meet with customers to teach on products.
  • Assist training sales force with communicating features and benefits.
  • Attend trade shows to talk about products.
  • Assist in the development of the proper tools needed to demonstrate product performance and content of sales presentation.
  • Determine marketing materials needed for product launch.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Product Marketing Manager position will possess a demonstrated track record of results with the following abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Technical, Scientific or Engineering)
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of commercial design/build and bid/spec markets and how business is conducted through independent manufacturers' representatives a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are mandatory. The right candidate will utilize these capabilities regularly to successfully document and communicate requirements from stakeholders, meeting minutes, business processes, etc.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Project Management software.

Robotic Programming Technician

Robotic Programming Technician

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Description

Programming and production for rotary draw robotic bending of copper tubing (FLSA Non-exempt).

  • Build prototype units per Bill of Materials or using component list for new product. Check all options and components for possible interferences in design work. Program copper to specifications drawn by designers. Keep complete, accurate documentation.
  • Follow through on ECO process to assure timely completion. Use EcoScreen 3D-OnSite (off-line display and programming software) to create and edit robot programs with related process parameters in a full 3D graphical environment:
    • EcoScreen 3D-OnSite communicates with one or several EcoR robot controllers via Ethernet.
    • The machine data, program files and process data tables stored on the flash card of the robot controller are read out online and updated by downloading.
    • All configuration data for EcoScreen 3D-OnSite is read out of the controller. No system-specific settings are stored on the installation computer.
  • Set up review for copper design approval upon completion of each unit.
  • Support production with copper and or jig and fixture issues using MiiC Robotic Bender.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Related Associates Degree, preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in process of robotic programming experience in manufacturing.
  • Brazing and soldering skill required.
  • Computer literacy, including CNC programming experience.
  • Above average skill in mathematics.
  • Attention to details and quality of work a must.

SalesForce Summer Intern

SalesForce Summer Intern

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Description

WaterFurnace International is seeking a Summer Intern (paid position) who would like to gain knowledge and experience in the administration of the Salesforce.com platform. WaterFurnace relies on Salesforce for tracking customer communications, sales process, and technical support issues. Under the supervision of the Salesforce Administrator, the intern will learn transferable skills using the largest CRM platform. The ideal candidate is someone who is analytical, technically savvy, detailed and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Import and Clean Data — A common task is to use the Salesforce Data Loader to mass import the names & emails from a spreadsheet provided.
  • Test Pre-release Features — New features are added to Salesforce on a regular basis. The intern will assist in User-Acceptance-Testing to ensure new features operate as required.
  • Create Reports and Dashboards — The intern will learn to build reports using Salesforce native report builder. As experience grows, interns may also learn Business Intelligence tools, Tableau.
  • Support and Train Internal Users — Intern will work alongside the admin to answer general questions from approximately 60 internal users.
  • Documentation — As new features and process are integrated, the intern will proofread and update the standard operation procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
  • Equivalent coursework and/or one or more years of experience with the following:
  • Strong Microsoft Office & Excel skills (Sorting, Filtering, Formulas, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
Preferred Skills:
